Description

Experience Level: Expert
Please read the following information carefully before bidding - all 'generic' type bids will be automatically rejected.

Background:

I run a start up volunteering organisation. We are a registered non-profit organisation looking to establish a website for our launch in September 2010. We will be launching in various universities and colleges and will need a website/blog that will engage young people.

Budget:

My budget is currently at £650. If your offer is more, I will still consider this based on your experience and what you offer but given my circumstances, the more competitive it is the better.

I have a tight budget given that this is coming out of my own personal expenses given that we are a start up providing support for the community.

Relationship with you:

We seek to establish a continued relationship with you, so you can support us with maintenance. We will also recommend you to our partner organisations which are currently six established charities, two of which are globally recognised.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced developer/team of developers to support us in creating a fully functional CMS driven website in the style of a magazine style blog with the functionality discussed below. This should integrate a blog, forum, relevant pages as well as using open source software so that it is easily upgradeable.

Colour scheme:

Our colour scheme is a deep blue, orange and leaf green which matches our logo, however we are open to ideas and creativity on this part of what you think would work.

CMS Systems:

We would prefer if you are able to use Drupal. However if you have something else in mind like Joomla, Wordpress, we would still be happy to hear from you.

Essential functionality (please DO not bid if you are not able to do this)

Facebook Connect - We would like to enable our users to connect to our website and develop their own profiles as part of our website with a system of profile updates, very similar to micro blogging. This would enable them to comment and interact with our blog and others on the forum we wish to create. We would also like another logon system for those who are not registered to the website. This we believe can be done through an Facebook API Connect.
This would be in addition to the 'like' button and 'share' button and general aspects that can be added.

Video content - We would like a system (perhaps utilising flash) in order for our users to be able to upload their own videos as well as having a system in place to take video from their webcam as well as audio as well.

Other important functionality needed:

Flash - we would require a small flash intro (this is not essential but would be helpful)
Forum - for our users to interact
Advertisements - Ad Modules to be installed
Donation button - via paypal perhaps
Message/Chat system
General pages

If you have any questions, please get in touch. We are looking for those who want to establish a relationship with our growing organisation as we are currently in London, Sydney and Los Angeles so please bear that in mind when quoting.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Nik
