Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
I'm looking for an individual or team who can build from scratch a REPLICA of an existing site. What I need is someone with solid back-end (C# OR vb.net, optionally with MySql) and front-end (HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery) skills in a Webforms (NOT MVC) environment. We do NOT want to use additional 3rd party frameworks or tools - so no Bootstrap etc. There are a couple of external webservice interfaces but these will be fully documented.
I will provide detailed and complete functional specs, screen layouts, database structure. I will also provide quite a number of code modules for "common" functionality and overall application infrastructure.
You will flesh out the application to very specific functional requirements. There will be ongoing code reviews and testing by myself, and you'll need to check-in code to Subversion (my repository) daily.
The project is likely to begin within the next 4 - 6 weeks, and will run for approx 3 - 4 months. Depending on your availability this timescale can be extended if necessary.
Applications from either freelance individuals or teams are welcome, based anywhere in the world. However availability during UK office hours (at least some overlap) is preferred, whilst location in southern midlands or northern Home Counties would be ideal.
Once I have drawn up a shortlist of three candidates I will ask you to complete a short programming assignment (no more than 2 hours duration) and ask to see some sample code that you've developed. During the initial selection process preference will be given to candidates who can link to relevant existing projects.
Background - I'm a professional freelancer with over 40 years' experience in the industry. I built an application for a client fairly recently, and another client now requires a similar application. I can share requirements and sections of my own "utility" code but cannot directly code the new application, for legal and ethical reasons relating to Intellectual Property. I'm acting as project manager for the new client, and ultimately your contract will be with the client. (A formal contract + schedule will be issued prior to acceptance of a bid) ....
