The position of Accounting clerk/Bookkeeper, in accordance with established policies and procedures, will act as support for the staff CPAs and EAs and be directly responsible for a variety of accounting/administrative duties. The successful candidate will be a quick learner and will have the ability to efficiently manage various time sensitive responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
-Support the Accounting team in the timely and accurate recording of accounting transactions for clients in Quickbooks.
-Calculating client monthly and quarterly payroll and sales numbers
-Answering calls and directing them to the right personnel
-Taking accurate phone and/or in person messages
-Interacting with and assisting clients in person
-Aiding the rest of the office in various administrative tasks if needed
Education and Experience
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-At least 1 year of experience in clerical accounting
-Associate degree in business or accounting is a plus
-Experience with MS Office with Excel skills and knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software
-Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures is a plus
