We provide an online data backup service to small and medium sized business. We have our own data centre in Kent and a good existing client base. The system works in the following way; a potential customer finds our website, downloads and installs a 30 day free trial of our backup software and then starts backing up their data to our secure data centre. In the 30 day trial period we communicate with the customer, making sure they are happy with the service. At the end of the trial period the customer usually agrees to continue using the service and we set up a direct debit to collect monthly payments. Our service provides the following benefits; automates data backups, gets data offsite and provides peace of mind for business owners/managers. It\'s also inexpensive to set up and costs are scalable.
We are looking for a sales professional that will come from a complementary business (perhaps computer services, IT equipment distributor, ISP or other IT software/service provider) and have a proven track record in B2B sales. The right person will already have a considerable number of contacts that they can communicate with to start generating leads. We believe a good sales person will have at least 300 names and addresses in their diary.
The applicant can be located anywhere in the UK and can work from home. Needless to say this will require discipline and an organised approach. We will communicate closely with the successful person and will expect daily progress reports. Because of the nature of the service and low cost, we will expect to see reasonable results almost immediately. The product is very easy to learn and you do not need a technical IT background to make sales.
The prospects in this job are great for the right person. We believe that sales are the driving force behind this business and the successful sales person will be rewarded with a permanent position with a good salary, leading to a management role with a possibility of part-ownership.
