Hello I am trying to use the ownCloud Cloud server software to host cloud services to multiple users in a public environment. OwnCloud support cloud sync'ing with external storage sites for files and folders with other clouds and webDav compatible servers.
The process for enabling external storage access/syncing is different depending on the third party provider. Sometimes api approval to these services is hard for an end user to manage on their own. I wish to use either webDav, sftp or Carriers API to connect users to there remote hosted cloud storage.
When a user first signs up on my website, I wish to have a form presented stating something similar to:
" Our Cloud platform can sync all your file from all your cloud services in one simple to access location. Do you wish to connect any of the following cloud drives to our Cloud file manage for ease of file sync'ing? "
(Provide a list with check boxes of all ownCloud supported connections and automate the account connection when checked) "
Here is a list of external file storage types that ownCloud is designed to integrated when Manually configured by an end user.
This project would be to automate the integrations of:
* Amazon S3 and compliant
* Dropbox
* FTP
* Google Drive
* Openstack Object Storage
* ownCloud
* SFTP
* SMB / CIFS
* SMB / CIFS using OC login
* WebDAV
If user selects any or all of the above boxes the required script would use both ownCloud API and the required third party provisioning needed to automate the setup and configuration for the users external storage within our ownCloud UI.
Please note I am using PHP LDAP ADMIN to control my ownCloud users account creation/login/password. Should the individual users api keys or webDav credentials, etc be stored in the LDAP? Maybe just have ownCloud look at the ldap during user login for any external storage folders to add to the users personal file manager?
I am open to suggests on the automation process.
Please let me know if you are capable of assisting with this provision.
Thanks,
David J.
