Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Industry: Art and Design
Details about the product: Packaging
Ideas for the visual style: Fun, bright and focussed on current trends
Extra notes: Do you have a passion for precision or a talent for turning concept visuals into print-ready packaging artwork?
We are a design-led gift/product design company based in Acton, West London – specialising in supplying fun & creative beauty items/stationery/games and gifts to some of the biggest high-street stores and grocers across the world, and we need a local freelance artworker!
All of our creative design happens inside our studio in Acton, and we’re looking for a proven, talented artworker to convert these style guides and concept visuals into final artwork and structural packaging ready for print.
The role will involve taking packaging concepts and existing graphic style guides, as well as our compliance and branding protocol - and applying all this to existing packaging nets. Being able to create/edit structural packaging nets for production will also be super helpful. You’ll need great attention to detail to ensure all the information and images are presented accurately and consistently, as well as a knowledge of the print process to help spec out special surface finishes such as gold foiling and Pantone/CMYK artwork.
Great organisation/communication skills are a must, and we do ask that you can come into the studio to hot desk with us, rather than sitting at home removed from the wonder and the magic of an energetic design environment.
So to sum up, we’re looking for someone who:
- Has a clear technical understanding of print
- Has a clear technical understanding of structural packaging nets
- Has professional skills and experience in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator/Photoshop)
- Has previous experience as an artworker
This will be a regular requirement for us, and the timeline we work to for new projects means there is lots of opportunity for these short bursts of in-studio time, ideally we’re looking for someone we can book for 2-3 weeks at a time throughout the year.
If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear it – send over your CV/portfolio, and a short cover letter explaining why you’d be the best person out of all of the people, for us.
