Description
Experience Level: Entry
General information for the business: Arduino Mega + Ethernet Shield + 7 digits display
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Description of requirements/functionality: Hello, I am looking for someone to write a code for a simple Arduino project of mine.
I have an Arduino Mega 2560 and an Ethernet Shield connected to 2 double digit 7 segment display.
I would like the system to connect to the TFL website and to the page of a particular station, read the minutes to the next available trains WESTBOUND and EASTBOUND, and display the said minutes to the displays.
I have the circuit basicly finished on a breadboard but have zero experience of coding and I think this project is a bit too complicated as a learning project for me.
Since this is a personal project I don't have a huge budget for it but happy to pay for some hours of your time.
Extra notes: The following is a list of useful article I have read while trying to utilize their code for my project:
http://bildr.org/2011/06/arduino-ethernet-client/
https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/HomePage
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcOE2XAQHzY
Through my research I think I figured that the order of actions for the arduino should be something like this:
This said I absolutely have zero experience in coding so I might be completely off.
—————————
- Arduino connects to webpage: https://tfl.gov.uk/overground/stop/910GHMPSTDH/hampstead-heath-rail-station?lineId=london-overground
- Starts scanning the HTML of the page till:
- Then starts looking for:
2
4
8
- Reads or saves or displays the FIRST Value.
- Starts looking for
- Then starts looking for:
due
5
10
- Reads or saves or displays the FIRST Value.
- Refreshes the page and repeat.
————————
I am also attaching an example I found online for a Simple Web data client. In this there are meant to be a lot of led connected and dimming depending on the data flow but I though It could be useful.
I know all of this is a bit random, please let me know what you think about how doable this code is.
