Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Industry: Healthcare
Design details: I would like a single cartoon picture/ animation for a blog piece that I am writing regarding how manual therapy is in danger of becoming too prescriptive, giving out preprepared exercise plans (treating the condition) instead of treating the person as an individual.
My idea is to have one single image showing a queue of patients with injuries (holding their back, elbow in a bandage, one with a sore neck and another on crutches).
They are queuing in line to see a robot/ vending machine called physi-osteo-practor 20.15. On the side of the machine are a series of red buttons with different body parts written next to it (e.g. head, neck, shoulder, elbow, low back, knee and so on.
A disinterested man in a white coat is beside it to press the button of the relevant body part for the patient next in line.
Target audience: healthcare professionals
Messages to communicate through the design: The idea is portray the man in the white coat as a middle man between a database of exercise plans and the patient. The Robot is the database and printer.
I think it would be good to have a dissatisfied patient walking away with their printed out exercise plan, maybe with a thought bubble saying "Was that it?"
Ideas for the visual style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rri__9VHZbU
Urls to draw inspiration from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rri__9VHZbU
Extra notes: Whist I like the style of the graphics in the video listed in the URL It isn't a demand that it should be in that style.
