Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi,
We urgently need a 2D/3D animation for the largest IT fair in Europe taking place from 18th to 24th of March. The idea is to show the performance of 3 different algorithms for optimizing traffic flow in parallel: we thought about an animation showing 3 maps (like Google Maps) with overlaid heatmaps. One should show what happens when we just look at the traffic flow without interfering (= a lot of hotspots), one in parallel what happens when we solve it with algorithm A (= fewer hotspots), and one that is solved with algorithm B (with less or without hotspots appearing). Ideally, we can include lots of vehicles as moving dots and also other traffic participants in different colors, and show that hotspots dynamically occur. As time progresses, we see the heatmap continuously (not discretely) changing its color: more reddish, when an area will become critical in the next 15 minutes, more greenish when the traffic flow (flux) is not significant. What we also should see is time progressing as traffic moves, and hotspots occur and disappear.
As indicated, we need three maps shown in parallel on one monitor or another nice way to display three maps. The first map should show lots of hotspots, the second less as we solve it with one algorithm, and the third even less than the second, as we solve it with the fastest algorithm. And ideally, the animation starts in ego-perspective with massive traffic around and zooms out, so that you can see a street, and finally the whole city with the heat maps.
Best,
Florian
