In January 2010 we launched Minute61.co.uk - a brand new online listings platform that allows media owners from all sectors of the industry [broadcast, outdoor, ambient, mobile, digital, experiential etc] to post details of their late-space or discounted inventory in order to attract active media buyers quickly, easily and cost effectively.
Since launch we\'ve had over 100 buyers register with us - buyers from the large \'West End\' agencies through to the smaller boutique agencies and also internal buying managers client-side. New buyers are signing up daily so there is a real need / demand for this service in the industry and we expect big things to happen in 2010.
Now is the ideal time to join us in this growth phase. We\'re looking for 2 experienced media sales people to come in and speak to / convert as many media owners as possible whilst spreading the word about Minute61. Ideally you\'ll have plenty of contacts and understand the whole media buying process.
You must be confident on the phone [but not pushy or aggressive as this is very much a consultative sell], be able to put succint, professional emails together and also be proactive in getting hold of the right contacts.
We are a very young business so, for now, we\'ll pay you on a commission-only basis. However, to make up for the lack of a basic, we\'ll pay 50% commission on all sales which will range from £75 - £525 per client [with lots of scope for re-bookings] so there\'s plenty of money to be made and plenty of media organisations to go after.
This role will be 100% new business to start with and then over time become 80% new business, 20% account management.
Once Minute61 becomes more established, we\'d obviously switch to a good package combining basic and commission plus, as you\'d have joined us in the beginning, we\'ll look to move you in to a management position and discuss share options for the right individuals.
You really do need to be a bit of a visionary at this moment. This is a venture that has a great deal of potential, we\'ve been getting really solid support and feedback from the industry with lots of positive PR.
