A member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), I’ve now completed more than 20 courses with both the CIEP and The Publishing Training Centre (PTC), including copy-editing, proofreading and writing for the web. I’m fully proficient in the use of macros and BSI proofreading symbols, and I’ll happily work with Word, PDF or Google Docs.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
All I will need from you is the copy you'd like me to proofread and edit in Word format. Also, any instructions including preferences on capitalisation, abbreviations, date/time formats and specialised words or references (only if it's not already clear) and I can start work on your project immediately.
It would also be helpful to let me know if there's a particular area you're struggling with or that you'd like me to focus on.
Please be aware that I do not re-write specialised content as it's unlikely that I'll have the technical knowledge required for your particular project. I will of course check that your writing makes sense though and that your sentences are constructed properly!
