What the Freelancer needs to start the work

BRIEF

A clear design brief ensures a strong start. Business name, tagline/slogan (if applicable), business field, target audience, logo usage, competitors, basic ideas (if any) for color, font choice (serif/sans-serif) layout and visual preferences are all important. A mood board + relative branding examples are great too, though not essential.

THE PROCESS

I generally always start with pencil on paper, quickly getting down my initial ideas before anything else. I then take the strongest ideas to the computer using Adobe Illustrator to build digital versions of the designs. Through the design process I send visual updates and respond directly to all feedback. I provide unlimited rounds of revisions until we reach the perfect outcome for your business. As soon as we arrive at the final logo design I package everything up into an industry-standard folder of files containing everything you'll need to start using your new design everywhere right away... this includes the following formats:

• AI (Adobe Illustrator)

• EPS (Vector)

• PSD (Adobe Photoshop)

• PDF

• PNG image files (transparent background)

• JPEG image files (solid white/color background)

+ I can also provide specific social media and web-ready images, scaled to fit.

TIME

Average turnaround time for logo projects is 5-10 business days. I can accommodate tighter deadlines if required.
