What you get with this Offer
HOURLY SERVICES - PATTERN CUTTING, TOILE & SAMPLING
£40 per hour
You will receive a pattern, toile & finished sample based on your design, ready to take to your supplier/manufacturer for production. This service is also suitable for individuals who are looking for bespoke design and the process is the same.
ORDER OF OPERATIONS:
- Initial Pattern Draft - A first draft pattern for your design in the required sample size (manual or digital draft)
- Toile (Prototype) - A basic mock-up made in calico/plain fabric to check the fit and overall design. Finishings, trims style lines are not applied at this stage unless absolutely necessary. Pockets and button placements are drawn in for visual reference.
- Review / Revision - 1-2 revisions within reason. Any amendments will be made to both the pattern and toile if necessary before the final sample stage.
- Sample/Finished Garment - made using the final fabric intended for your design. (fabric is provided by the client or can be sourced for an additional cost), fully finished with all the required stitch details, pockets, hems, trims, and linings.
- Final Pattern - includes all relevant information: seam allowances, grainlines, style name/number, size. Manual patterns are hand drafted on plain white paper - you will be sent the original paper draft (with all the original and adjustment markings) or a new clean copy will be traced for you instead. Manual pattern may be digitised on request. Digital drafts will be sent as DXF or PDF files.
Below are the average starting cost for each category, exclusive of any postage or materials costs. The total time required for each project will depend on the complexity of your design, availability for fittings, ordering of materials and shipping times.
