What you get with this Offer
Is your website slow to the point that all your visitors ran away to other, faster websites? There is effective solution developed by GetPageSpeed engineers - the Citrus server stack.
It is a bundle of open source software for the web, which enables your website with Brotli compression, WebP image support and a bunch of more.
It includes Varnish cache and its VCL is hand coded for your specific website needs to enable caching on multiple layers, Google Brotli compression and Google PageSpeed modules, perfect SSL encryption and network tweaks for Linux.
In this hourlie I will install and configure Citrus web server stack as the most important step into making your website faster.
Google PageSpeed as one of the components does multiple things:
- Minifies (removes whitespace, comments, etc) or in other words compresses external CSS and JavaScript
- In addition to minifying JS, it combines multiple external JS files into one JS file which causes less http requests or round trips so the page loads faster
- Optimizes the cache for the files. Every http header has a cache information, or in other words, for how long should the browser keep the resource, mod_pagespeed optimizes this number
- Uses the idea of URL fingerprinting for the new JS files.
- Minifies HTML
Zend Optimizer+ (OpCache) compiles your interpreted plain PHP scripts in lightning fast files that run instantly. You don't have to worry about anything. As long as your PHP script are unchanged, PHP will load compiled files instead of interpreting PHP scripts again. Have you changed a file? No problem, OpCache will automatically recompile the file so that your PHP script execution is always blazing fast.
The delivery is the Citrus server stack installed on your bare bones CentOS server, with custom Varnish configuration specifically to your website.
