What you get with this Offer
This Hourlie includes my services in regards to filing the application for one UK trademark.
I shall
1. conduct availability search.
2. research and draft the specifications for filing.
3. prepare and file the application on your behalf.
Classes are used to categorise various products and services in trademark applications. I advise on classes as part of the service and devise acceptable specifications.
The price does not include fees to the Intellectual Property Office (IPO). The official fee for filing one trademark in one class in the UK is £200 payable to the IPO under the "Rights Start" scheme. Additional costs will be incurred for each additional class. This will be advised when we discuss the application in detail.
It is impossible for anyone to predict how the Registry and owners of existing trademarks will react to new applications. In the event of queries or objections to the registration of the trademark then these would cost extra to respond to. I shall give you a quote in case this happens.
I reserve the right to not proceed with making the application, if the search results indicates, that your trademark may attract opposition or serious difficulties in the registration process. In such case your escrow funds will be returned to you (minus the fee for conducting the searches and reporting to you). This service includes the preparation and filing of your UK trade mark application. It does not include any follow up trade mark services except if we agree specifically. I reserve the right to at any time de-register as IPO Representative, in which case you shall always be duly informed at the time of such filing.
If you for whatever reason decide to not currently proceed with the trade mark application after I have conducted searches I shall invoice my fee of £120. You will then have six months to get back to me if you wish to pick up the application process. This also applies if you do not provide the official fees payable to the IPO within one week of my presentation of the search findings to you.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
I need information about your brands /trademarks (if it is a logo or figurative, please upload a .jpg file) and the products and/or services you use or intend to use the trademark on.
Please also provide the name and address of the formal owner of the trademark = applicant. If the applicant is a company I also need the company registration number.
Please confirm the time frame for delivery when ordering.
