What you get with this Offer
In five days, I will deliver to you a short video project that will be tailored to your notes and requirements (for longer projects, please contact me via my profile). I can provide editing services for promotional videos, short films, family videos, informative videos, short documentaries (and more).
To keep a happy working relationship, I require regular contact throughout the project (so we both know where the project is going). I'll send you watermarked copies of the cut throughout this process to let you see the progress of the project. Once the project has reached picture lock at the end of the five day period, no changes will be accepted, so please don't be afraid to submit as much feedback as you like during the working period!
Five days is the ideal time frame to work on short form projects due to the fact that high quality edits take time. The longer the amount of time, the more feedback I can implement into the deliverable. Editing is done in stages such as:
-Media management/importing (making sure my software - Avid Media Composer) is happy with your files
-Project Admin
-First Assembly (putting the assembly together)
-Sending off watermarked copy of first assembly for feedback
-Rough Cut (a more ordered cut, informed by feedback)
-Responding to further feedback in the cut
-Fine Cut (making the project as polished as possible, this is where any possible sound design/cleaning occurs)
-Picture lock (the project is finished and the high quality export will be sent to you).

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
I need all rushes to be in the correct frame rate (25 Frames Per second) and formatted to PAL (if you're unsure, you can check the properties of each file by right clicking on individual files).
Some information on which container and codec the files are (If you're unsure, let me know what camera was used for the footage).
How was your audio recorded? Was it through an internal camera mic, a mic that plugs into a camera, or is it non-sync (using an audio recorder). If externally, then I'll need the audio files and preferably (to ensure quick work completion) some basic logging of the audio files so I can quickly pair them to their relevant video.
Notes on all your desired outcomes for the editing project.
