What the Freelancer needs to start the work
In order to get started on a visual effects (VFX) project, I will need.
A detailed project brief: This should include information about the project's goals, target audience, and overall aesthetic. It should also include specific information about the VFX requirements, such as the types of effects that are needed and the desired level of realism.
Script or storyboard: This will give me a clear understanding of the story and the context of the VFX shots, which will help me plan and execute the effects.
Reference materials: This can include photographs, videos, or other materials that the artist can use to get a sense of the desired look and feel of the VFX.
Footage or plates: I will need the raw footage or plates to work with, which should be delivered in a format that I can work with (e.g. ProRes, EXR)
Camera information: I may need information about the camera used to shoot the footage, including the resolution, frame rate, and aspect ratio.
Deadline and Budget: Also I will need to know the project's deadline and budget so I can plan and execute your work accordingly.
I may need to have open communication with you throughout the project to ensure that your needs and expectations are being met and to make any necessary adjustments to the VFX work.
Having this information and materials will allow me to have a clear understanding of the project and to plan and execute your work efficiently.
