What you get with this Offer
Having a dashboard to showing your key deliverables can be used to monitor your business or team performance, make informed decisions and also help with story telling for those important board meetings!
Today, collecting and having access to data is not enough (but a good start) the real value of data is the insight and understanding it provides. Having a clear and plan and process will help create a visualistaion that is not only more sophisticated than a spreadsheet but a powerful, trustworthy and accessible communication tool to help drive your business forwards.
Tableau Desktop 10 will be used to create the report as I feel that it is the most flexible and powerful on the market for both the end user and developer. You do not need to pay for the expensive Tableau licence to view or interact with the finished report as Tableau Reader can be used to view the completed dashboard / worksheet. You will store the data that feeds the report and all files will be baked up securely via Dropbox or OneDrive depending on your preference.
Day 1 - PLAN (discuss requirements, look at sample data and design options)
Day 2 - DESIGN (import data into Tableau and build design)
Day 3 - TEST AND EVALUATE (Testing and feedback, AOB)
If I think that the report build will take longer than 3 days I will let you know on day 1 and we can discuss workarounds or cost further before continuing.
Day 2 will not be charged until access to the datasource had been provided. If data has to be prepared in SQL to optimise the report after import and was NOT mentioned on day 1, there will be no extra charge (normally £150 per day/£25 per hour)
if there are further requirements on day 3 that were not mentioned during planning(day 1) then a charge of £25 per hour will be added to the overall cost.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
- Objectives (What will the report be used for, what questions should it answer)
- Audience (who is the report for, how will it be shared)
- Datasource (where will the data come from? Do you need a live source? Real Time feed?)
- Data Preperation (the data needs to be prepared in a particular way for it to be visualized in Tableau, limitations can be discussed with the design on day 1 before implementation)
