Hands down, one of the worst experiences I got in my 7 years of freelancing, and 4 years of working on PPH. It’s actually ridiculous. ➡ 1) Poor communication = Worse instructions by far. Such unclear and messy instructions, I haven’t seen in a while. Draws on top of previous changes, making it a total mess. Expecting me to imagine what she has in her head, like I’m some kind of magician. Makes half sentences, half instructions, then comes back next time and says “If I wanted that, I would have told you”. Then why don’t you say straight all the changes from the first time? Not to mention I did probably over 20+ rounds of edits, which is outrageous. ➡ 2) Doesn’t know what she truly wants - Sends 2 documents of changes, then comes back with 3rd message and says “Ignore all from above”. What if I already started working on those? She doesn’t care really. She did that more than 4 times, so you can imagine it’s already a pattern. Then, Saturday she said ‘Send me the final video files and I’ll release the funds’. Monday comes. Even PPH Support left her a note to pay the invoice meanwhile... She’s back with a document full of changes, changed her mind after she approved the video… Changes that were fine last revision, now she wants something else. ➡ 3) Puts the ‘I’m on a small budget’ phrase in front of everything. If you’re on a small budget, then don’t have expectations and needs for animations that should easily cost 2x or 3x the price, it’s just ridiculous. Should I mention what she ordered? She contacted me to make a 60 seconds video for the price of 30 seconds, I said no. Then she comes back days later, after I told her this costs £120 with voiceover included, she digs on my profile to find the cheapest hourlie, founds a £100 one, orders, doesn’t read the description that says “Doesn’t include voiceover, buy one with the addons”. When I send her a Deposit request for the voiceover, after explaining that she forgot to add the addon, she instantly rejects it without reading my messages saying “Why is he asking me more money?” Wait, what? Just ridiculous. I should have canceled the project at that huge signal this will be a mistake working with her. ➡ 4) When the project was over, instead of paying the invoice, says “I’m going to bed, we’ll finish tomorrow”, when it was 8 PM. What about the times when I worked up to 11 PM or later, to finish it because you’re on a rush? Says she’s in a rush with the project, I need to work ASAP on it, I worked during evenings, after hours, just to help her finish it by the deadline, but when it comes to pay the invoice, forgets about it, passes days before you can hear a word from her… Where’s the mutual respect here, huh? CONCLUSION: I WILL NEVER EVER work with her again, not even if I was paid 10 times the amount for the same work. The level of frustration reached while working with her it was enough for me. Suppose to work on another video together, but I’d rather spend that time working for charity than working with her.
