What does a freelance writer or freelance translator do?

Freelance writers are skilled in many forms of writing from marketing materials to academic writing, business writing, creative writing, ghost writing, and even letter writing. Freelance translators can translate writing assets from one language to another. With hundreds of freelance translators and writers available you can find someone who specialises in your desired area and industry.

Why should I consider hiring a freelance writer or translator?

Hiring a freelance copywriter , creative writer, ghostwriter, or translator, can help you to meet short or long-term business needs. A writer can help you with tasks such as creative writing, essay writing, letter writing and academic writing while a translator can help you reach your language goals. By hiring a freelance writer or translator you can find an expert with very specific skills and experience that you may not have within your business.

What should a business look for in a good writer or translator?

Hire a freelance writer or translator in the same fashion that you would a permanent employee. Look for the right skills and experience, ask for portfolio samples and read reviews. If you are hiring a freelancer with less experience, make sure you have seen some of their previous work or even academic work, and test them with a small paid task if you feel it is necessary, to check their freelance writing techniques.
