Wandsworth, GBPaul would introduce himself as a great an experience ex-BBC Producer sounding as he was the most appropriate candidate to research/write some scripts.... therefore I was looking forward to work with him as his track record couldn't be better than that.
But soon I realise that he might had been a great producer, but certainly is one of the worst researchers I've ever deal with. As soon as he wrote the first script I realise that I made the wrong choice. I was amaze that he became a producer in the past, how did he ever got there?.
Paul is a nice guys to deal with him before agreeing anything but once he gets the job accepted... he changes completely. I was shocked!. He was only thinking on excuses how to increase the amount of money that you have agreed with him threatening you with not finishing the job to your expectations.
For this job I deal with more than five freelancers doing the same job as Paul, but he was THE ONLY ONE that didn't understand what I was requesting whiles the other freelancers with less "important background" than him were getting it straight away and delivering awesome scripts.
If you need a talented creative writer as well as a nice person to deal with that hasn't got an arrogant an inefficient "know-it-all" profile I would suggest to look here for: Vanesha P. ; Karen K. ; Nichola T. ; Racheal S. or Mark F.Paul A.
It saddens me that Angel is still incapable of telling the truth. I was quite willing to help him out as he is a novice in this business and his project looked interesting. I was even willing to help him with his English.
However, during my time with him, he could not make up his mind as to whether he wanted a research document or a script. As you can imagine from a writer's perspective, this is extremely frustrating. He even admitted as such when he wrote to me: "perhaps, I should've explained myself more clearly".
I enjoyed the work, but was unprepared for such great dishonesty. I have never experienced it before in eight years as a freelancer. His name has now been circulated to my journalistic network to warn anyone who may come across his name on PPH or other platforms.

Wandsworth, GBThe job was cancelled. Not very impressed.

I was looking forward to working on this and helping a wannabe filmmaker. After delivering two scripts Angel asked for a couple of revisions. That was fair enough, and revisions are always included in my fee. After making the revisions, he then bombarded me with a slew of extra things he wanted added to the documents. None of these were in the initial brief. It was as if he was wanting something for free. I think Angel knows what he wants, but on the evidence of this project with me, he was unable to communicate it. If you're a writer who wants to work with him ask for a thorough and detailed brief. Having made dozens of documentaries for the BBC it was quite a shock to work with someone so poorly prepared. I have raised a dispute with PPH.
It is a deep shame that Angel lied consistently during my dealings with him and tried to get something for free. Having presented two scripts and made some minor revisions he then bombarded me with a slew of extra material that he wanted written, as if he had just thought of them. None of these were in the original brief, so they were additions not revisions. I said I would be happy to do them, but he would have to pay more for them. He refused to pay one of my invoices and so I complained to PPH. They upheld my complaint and Angel had to comply, so I received my fee. I was so shocked by my experience with him that I had to mention it to my broadcasting union. Having written books and documentary scripts for clients all over the world, my experience with someone so seemingly dishonest and amateurish was a shock. Thank goodness PPH upheld my complaint and he wasn't able to rip me off. I would warn anyone to be VERY CAREFUL when dealing with Angel. He might try and scam you too!
