An extremely good editor and proof reader.

Initially I was skeptical as I had demanded in my job spec British English, but the continental divide (US/UK) did not seem to matter as she took the British/US English differences in her stride.

Mary did things to my manuscript that people and companies who charged ten times as much were not willing to do on the test chapter. Only one person came close and it was a hard call as to who to choose. I think I made the correct choice and do not regret it one bit. Sorry Rob.......

Everything unclear was given its own individual note and correction and explanation as to why it was wrong unclear or how it could be worded better. There was even impromptu research into things I had forgotten. Along with final editing to a standard publishers expectations and demand.

it changed my flawed and sometimes stumbling script (according to test readers) into a lyrical gripping adventurous tale that sucked in all the new test readers. All at the same time keeping my quirky comical style and not absolutely butchering it as some prior editors on the test chapter did. So it is in a sense still mine with a bit of polish here and there.

Overall I would highly recommend Mary for any future work, as I would be happy to use her again if needed.
