It is difficult for me to recommend Abdi to every buyer for the following reasons:

1) Abdi initially stated I would receive the completed work in 2 working days, but didn't deliver it until 2 weeks after constant badgering from myself. Throughout the project I kept receiving promises that the work would be completed the next day, only for it to not happen. Not only was having to constantly chase him an irritant, but it also held back my own work.

2) Despite initially stating the work would take 3-4 hours, at the end of the project he initially wanted to bill me for 25, despite me reducing the amount of work he was required to do as I completed some of it myself due to impatience.

3) As soon as he did complete the work he constantly hounded me to provide him with 5 star feedback. In fact, he asked several times throughout the project for feedback even though he hadn't yet completed the work.

4) Despite providing him with a comprehensive pdf detailing exactly what was required of him, I constantly had to check his work, point out mistakes and errors and then wait another couple of days for them to be rectified.

5) I found the language barrier to be a unnecessary obstacle that needed to be overcome.

In all honest the only reasons I'm not giving Abhi a one star review are that a) he did actually complete the work requested and b) my task was reasonably complex and not an everyday request.

Therefore if you are looking for a simple task to be completed or a personal project that you can leave in his hands, then he will probably do a good job as long as your timescales are flexible, because he does have the skills required to produce decent enough work.

If however, you are like me, a European based agency with demanding clients on tight deadlines, my advice is go elsewhere. I won't be using Abhi again, because on this evidence I can't trust him to stick to deadlines or track his time in the way that I am accustomed to in the UK. I was lucky that I had an understanding client who appreciated the development work was a result of the changes he had made to the project, but I can't guarantee future clients will be anywhere near as understanding.
