City of London, GBA project to build a site that was quoted £350 ended up costing £725 not to mention other extras that was done fairly. Igor seemed to be doing a great job and a joy to work until we had to make the site live. He pushed me to move all my domains and emails to his own server and since I just met him and could not find reviews online I preferred to stay with Media Temple. After that he became very rude and unhelpful. The site is extremely slow and some updates in the server is needed but he refused to do so. I ended up deciding to move to another hosting provider I know and when migrating the server they could not find the instructions that redirect the site to the live one so we cannot test it, its an instruction in the database, but with a database that is 3.6 GB in size, its a needle in a haystack and Igor refusing to say where it is- even though I was willing to pay him. He may be a great developer but is very stubborn and will do everything he can to convince you to move to his hosting company and if not he will do something that you are tied on him and cannot move forward. Now I will probably have to spend the same amount I paid him to find the solution. I am gutted!

To all on PPH, want to share my personal experience with this client, i rebuild the client website in Magento in record time in 6 days the website was ready to go live for as little as £350 and have added manually 300 products included in that price.
The client has asked me if i could help with the rest of the products (350) in total and additional customization and adjustments, migration of the old site 36GB, etc, everything has been delivered in 2 days for an additional fee that has been agreed between us.
The client server is a Plesk, unmanaged, outdated, with old SQL, phpMyadmin, etc and this is where i came across with the suggestion for the new Dedicated VPS Server with cpanel that i could set it up specially for her, but my proposal was not accepted, not a big deal, was trying to help.
The original files and DB for the build website has been Migrated to her server and everything was fine until she came with some more work again for free, with the message, while are you going to fix this, please fix that and that.
I was helping the client as much as i possibly could, but this were i was wrong. The owner of the website got used to it and start approaching me every day through the message board for some more of this and some more of that.
When i have refused to do additional work for free, i have realized what kind of person she really is. Her attitude became unprofessional and she start acting very rude, any problems she has got after development, she will come and blame me for all the hassle.
I do support all my clients i work with and always helped them after development without any hesitation. But not in this scenario, i have explained to the client, that i do not want to communicate or be near her website.
For the past 2 weeks, i have spend 3-4 hours on daily basis to answer all her questions and today i have received some harassment from here blaming me, that she can not connect the DB to work on the new server, that i have nothing to do with after Migration of her website.
And believe it or not, she gave me 5 min to come up with the solution to fix the Migration issue on the new server or she will leave this feedback for me.
Well, this is to be honest, i had some fun working on her project and wishing her all the best in her business.
