London, GBWhen I saw the announcement, I was very charmed: their approach said they had team of several designers, so each request that comes in is given to the designer that they thought would be best match with the request and the person in charge of it. I thought it was great approach and for sure they would send me to the right person in the team.
My request was simple: I gave them some pictures of a magnificent art deco building, 26m wide on the street, a piece of art with a sculptured garden on 3 levels. a real beauty. The request was to put the name and house number 'somewhere' on 1 of the 2 black corners of the front door.
Clearly the designer needed here had a passion for architecture and good proportions.
I didn't get that at all: i received a suggestion to screw a classic brass panel with name engraved. And another engraved (small size) panel screwed on other side
omg!!! the designer obviously didn't know or appreciated good architecture
The 2 metal panels are each about 70 cm wide and 2M might, they are in lacquered black sinc, so perfectly ok to glue a film on it with any possible design. The cost is same for good or bad design, so i asked for help. unfortunately, I'm only a lover of good designed stuff but cannot draw myself.
I'm so disappointed in them, maybe my expectations were too high, anyway i'm sure i'll find an architecture lover who will explode with enthusiasm, as it's a job about beauty and harmony
