PPH made it easy to find Ross. You can apply filters (for example, to choose artists of a particular standard, or price) and then search the portfolios of the resulting list to see whose work best matches your requirements. I required a cartoon to illustrate a point I was making in a presentation. Ross grasped the essence of the commission straight away, and his first draft was almost exactly what I wanted. It came back quickly, too. His part of the process was painless, and delivered well before the deadline I had set. I can't say the same for PPH software. They do a good job of helping you find someone to work with, but it goes downhill from there, with unfamiliar screens, difficulties with passwords, etc, etc. It's just not intuitive. I don't want to have to learn new software just to communicate with the person I have commissioned. I'm afraid that, for that reason, I won't be back.
