Donegal, IEUnfortunately my experience was not too good with Rachel's work. On transcribing two focus groups, one had two participant speakers mixed up and in the second transcript many of the speakers were mixed up (correct comments but not the speaker that had said it) therefore, I had to go through both recordings firstly to recognise the speakers and then change the transcripts to the correct speakers. Unfortunately, I had already paid for this job and was later refused any partial refund as I was offered to correct any mistakes by Rachel. Due to the many mistakes, I would have still had to check them myself to be sure. I do not believe a lack of focus was due to so many errors. I believe in 'you get what you pay for' and paid extra thinking I would have better quality work as I was told this prior to hiring for the job however, this was not the case. My suggestion is : if you are paying for a service be sure to fully check prior to releasing payment. I was told focus group transcriptions were difficult to transcribe and voices can be simllar. In this case even the facilitator was mistaken for a speaker with a totally different accent... Really disappointed as I paid a lot of money

I'm very sorry that you felt disappointed with this job. This is a first for me, as you can see from 380+ Five Star reviews in the past here at PPH. I'm a little puzzled as to why you came to me over a month after paying for the job asking for a refund and refusing to let me make amendments to the work (which was very accurate apart from mixing up a few of the speakers, who all sounded very similar). In summary, I did the best I could with the material I had, the work was of high quality with the exception of the speaker mix-ups, and I wasn't given the opportunity to amend this; I think a 2* review is therefore rather harsh, and I hope future buyers will take note of my consistent 5* feedback instead.
