Although I am currently moving into Quantity Surveying at this stage in my career,much of my time is still spent dealing with accounts & finance. The industries might be different but the skills are the same. I got into Quantity Surveting because I found that I have an unusual mixture of technical aptitude with costing. I am a team player and able to interface with all levels of management. I possess transferable skills like undertaking accounts & bank reconciliations, assisting on Month end accounts, dealing with accruals & Prepayments, assist in forecasting for cost centers, act as a point for all payment related queries like invoice & credit control disputes raised by, suppliers & management.

    Description: • Ensure coding is correct on all invoices prior being entered into the ledgers (Access Dimensions).

    • Preparing the payment runs and seeking payment authorization in accordance with the current approval matrix.

    • Processing the payments by BACS.

    • Maintaining the PL & dealing with inter-company invoices

    • Maintaining cashbook both foreign/ currency & domestic

    • Updating project Cash-flow reports for actual costs received via the purchase ledger

    • Same as above, but for employee expense reports ( involves reconciling expenditure incurred on credit cards)

    • Cash application for Sales Ledger cash received

    • Bank reconciliations and cash book reconciliations.

    • Posting sales ledger invoices as they come in.

    • Updating cash flow statements for each account weekly.
