Elastic based search feature for our Syncwerk (EFSS) software
Syncwerk is an enterprise file sync and share solution similar to Dropbox or Nextcloud. We are looking for someone who can extend our Angular (TypeScript) based Web-App and our RestAPI with a Kanban (Projects) board solution. The Web-App communicates with the Syncwerk RestAPI which is provided by the Django REST framework. The Django based REST framework needs to be extended with the required endpoints to support the necessary Elastic search functionality. Syncwerk is developed for Debian 10 Linux. If required, we can help set up a development environment to quickly start with the actual feature development. Required experience and skills: - Elastic search - SOLR - Angular TypeScript - NodeJS - Django Rest Framework - Debian Linux - Good communication skills These are the basic requirements: 1. Create Django REST framework API endpoints to support searching for filenames and content 2. Add search option to Angular based Web-App 3. Index filenames and content (e.g. office documents) and store the results in elastic search 4. Update index when file name or content changes 5. Ensure sure users can only retrieve search results from files and folders which belong to them or have been shared to them 6. Ensure Syncwerk desktop apps can also query the API. The apps already have the search logic integrated. We just need to ensure the RestAPI accepts these queries and the desktop apps are able to list the expected JSON formatted results. 7. Provide script to manually purge Elastic entries and rebuild fresh index 8. Provide a time schedule 9. Provide daily status updates 10. Commit daily progress to our development Git repos 11. You can build the Angular TypeScript based feature from scratch or use pre-existing MIT or BSD licensed projects/libraries. To analyse the current look and feel of the web app, you can register a test account under https://syncwerk.cloud/register.

Android Search Interface for Offline Content
Our small nonprofit, WiderNet, provides off-line access to thousands of Web sites for people who lack Internet connectivity (www.widernet.org). Over 2,000 universities, schools, health care sites, and libraries in the developing world have adopted this entirely offline solution, providing a bounty of educational information to millions of users. We seek an Android search interface that would interact with a Lucene-generated index of 128GB of resources. Ideally this would be based on open source search engines like SOLR or Elasticsearch. Freelancers responding to this project should have a credible understanding of indexing and search engines. If you don't immediately comprehend the preceding two paragraphs, please don't bid on this project. The Lucene index will be generated in advance at our offices using high powered computers. The index will then be copied to a standard folder on the Android storage. The search engine will use whichever index is in the specified folder. The search interface, the focus of this project, should present the user with a custom offline query interface and, using whichever index is in the specified folder, parse and return results to the user. Understanding that some Android devices lack the horsepower, the developer should help us identify features that might be disabled to improve search times.

I need a professional Apache Nutch and Solr developer.
I need guidance to configure and run both Nutch 1.15 and Solr Solr-8.2.0 on Windows10 correctly.
Copy Solr set up from one server to another
I'm currently swapping servers for my current website to put onto another. To do this I need to be able to get the Solr copied from my current server and put on a DigitalOcean Droplet and ensure runs.

I need a developer for a proof of concept project
I want to build a quick proof of concept to look into an idea I had. I want to build a simple web app (probably hosted in our Azure environment) that I can plugin a load of applications into (via their API, things like Dropbox, OneNote/Office 365/OneDrive, Asana), search/crawl/index the content (maybe using something like Solr or ElasticSearch) and surface the results as a bunch of links I can navigate to.

Server Performance Optimisation
We currently have a Linode 4GB instance which has a LAMP stack running along with Redis and Solr on Jetty. We have been experiencing increased 500 errors on the 2 Drupal 7 websites running on this server, which appear to be caused by the server running out of resources. We are looking for someone to fully optimise the whole stack to stop these 500 errors, we are also considering replacing Apache with Nginx and upgrading PHP with the impending end of life for 5.6 in the near future.
