Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the blog/website: Festive/Seasonal Website
Tone: Informal/Casual
Outline & Structure: I'm looking for an additional writer/content curator (native English speakers only) who can assist with the creation of content for a seasonal/holiday themed website.
This isn't your typical writing job, so if you've only ever created straight up articles/blog posts, this probably isn't going to be the gig for you. So you can stop reading now. Please. It’ll save us both time.
What I need is someone who:
* Is great at researching the web and finding fresh and unique stuff to feature
* Has an excellent eye for good imagery/photography
* Can write in a clever, witty, conversational style (US English)
* Understands how to write headlines that draw attention
* Has some knowledge of SEO writing practices – or at least a willingness to learn
* Has a bit of an obsession with Pinterest
* Is fun to work with, can take constructive criticism and pays attention to detail
You get extra bonus points if you have:
* Your own WordPress blog. Can be a crafter, DIYer, mom blogger... (You’ll get a byline too.)
Typical content for the site will include roundup posts consisting of craft/DIY ideas, recipes, decorating tips, party ideas e.t.c.
I will provide the topics/keywords. You find cool things/blogs to feature, craft a creative headline and write the post.
I want to start with one post (roughly around 500/600 words) as a trial and take things from there.
To be considered for this opportunity, please include the following in your proposal (IMPORTANT):
*TWO links to festive/seasonal/craft type roundup posts that you’ve created which feature the work of other bloggers. Must include images.
Look forward to receiving your proposals.
