Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are launching a new website to help learners pass the UK driving tests.
Well written, informative and unique “knowledge base” articles are needed which will explain how to safely and effectively perform manoeuvres and routines for learner car drivers, giving them excellent preparation for their tests.
* 33 articles required
* Articles need to be approximately 200 words in length
* Only top line information is needed for each topic, as further details can be gleaned by watching our subscription-only video tutorials
* The articles HAVE to be unique for SEO purposes and must not be copied and pasted from other websites
* Excellent English writing skills, spelling and grammar required
* SEO skills would be an advantage
* Accompanying photos or illustrations would be an advantage
* We’re looking for either a price to do all 33 pages, and a timescale
* Due to the specialist knowledge needed, this work would ideally suit an active or retired driver training professional, eg driving instructor (please state your area of expertise when you apply)

Before starting the car or moving away you will need to carry out a series of pre-drive checks, also known as the Cockpit Drill. This involves six safety checks as follows:
1. Doors - Ensure all doors are shut and secure (including the boot).
2. Seat – The seat should be adjusted to ensure that you have a clear view in all directions and full control over the foot pedals and the steering wheel. The height and the angle of the seat can be adjusted as well as the steering wheel in some cars.
3. Head Restraint – Always ensure that the head restraint is correctly positioned so that the centre is in line with the driver’s eyes.
4. Seatbelts – Ensure that both you and your passengers are all wearing seatbelts that are correctly fitted.
5. Mirrors – Ensure that all your mirrors are correctly adjusted.
6. Handbrake – Check that your handbrake is applied and the gear lever is in neutral.
Articles for Car Safety / Maintenance
Each article needs to be around 200 words in length:
The importance of a correctly adjusted head restraint
Coolant Levels
Brake fluid Levels
How to check engine oil levels
How to check tyre pressure
How to change a tyre
