Experience Level: Intermediate
An experienced Web Content Editor is required for a small, yet rapidly expanding Internet Solutions company based in Bromley, offering web services to small businesses across various industry sectors.
We require an independent and resourceful professional who can take full responsibility for the quality and delivery of content, images and media that is both on our own website and marketing material, as well as the websites we produce for our clients.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your main responsibilities will include:
-To plan, research, write, copy and edit the content of websites, including sourcing images and artwork
-Maintaining the sites and ensuring information is accurate
-To create a style and tone of innovating content that helps engage with new and repeat visitors
-Assist in optimising the websites for Search Engines
You will require the following skills and experience for the role:
-Excellent command of the English language and general communication skills
-At least 3 years experience of writing and editing online corporate communications in a demanding or complex organisation
-Good understanding of CMS platforms
-An excellent understanding of the principles of writing and editing for the ‘Web’ and ‘Online World’ and how users process web content
-Experience of developing new content and setting objectives, research, sourcing content and delivery
-Good knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
-Ability to work with remote teams and third party suppliers
-Educated to degree level or equivalent
