Description
Experience Level: Entry
I have a video script that I would like editing down to make it more engaging AND shorter.
I'm not sure if this is possible but I would like to put the feelers out there to see if a fabulous script writer can help!
The job in a nutshell:
Subject matter: Finance
Style: News in review (round up of the month)
Target Audience: Financial Sector workers in Australia (financial advisers)
I currently have a script of approx 750 words that already exists and you can view it attached to this job post.
The narration is in the far right column (column 3) and this is what needs editing down.
My predecessor has already made a video of this script with stock video footage as overlay and it currently runs at approx 4.5 mins.
Here is a link to the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ood-x_cICyM&feature=youtu.be
This is a very dull and boring video, the subject matter doesn't help but the delivery is very lack lustre.
I would like to change things up a gear and if we could get this right there will be ongoing work - at least monthly.
Could you take the script (attached) and reduce it to about 2.5 - 3mins duration and add a bit of personality in to the words used and still delivery the same message?
- could we engage the audience more? Perhaps ask them some questions / offer food for thought?
- I don't want it too jolly but a little bit more upbeat and perhaps conversational will be better (but not too much)
I would like to try and deliver the video in a more engaging way with hardly any / no stock footage used and more like this:

with the script reader actually on screen (auto cue) and with animated text in the background etc
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
Kerry
