Who Else Wants a Great Source of Interesting, Varied, Ongoing, Quality, Article Writing Opportunities?
I have a number of clients, mainly in the areas of small business, tourism, financial/legal services - but a good general mix too, who require content for the web, primarily in the following 5 forms:
1,000 Word + well researched articles: 1 per client per month on a variety of topics. A typical assignment may be to mystery shop a number of price comparison websites for a certain product, then mystery shop offline providers and produce an article about the results. Does online price comparison work? Are offline providers missing a trick? etc - this is purely an example to give an indication of the type of research/content required.
500 Word + Articles: 3-6 per client per month, again on a variety of topics, less research heavy perhaps picking up on an item in the news or a press release good quality general content (may be a seed article for one of the longer pieces above, or a follow-up on a longer piece).
Press Releases: 1 per client per month, good quality well formatted press release drafted (we will distribute), often this can be related to the most recent 1,000 word article.
Video Script: Adaptation of each 500 word article into a 3 minute video - short bulleted script e.g. Powerpoint/Keynote (we can do this or the writer - whichever suits best).
Short Sound-bites: Short rough draft/blog type 100-250 word sound-bites/comments on articles. As many as possible, perhaps comments on articles/information/press releases found whilst doing research, sent by email.
As you can see, a single client can produce a good level of work per month, multiplied by numerous clients there is obviously awesome scope here for great writers - so what are we looking for?
Professional UK based writers only please (more than happy to hear from journalism students!) - all articles must have UK spelling, grammar, and most topics will require a familiarity of UK markets, places etc.
Ideally looking for individuals with whom we can build long term relationships, and rely on to deliver the goods, within the time constraints allowed, without the need for constant chasing.
We generally work in two week \"sprints\" e.g. brainstorming, ideas, research, rough draft submitted week 1, final draft submitted and signed off week 2.
We do have an easy to use but highly effective system for approving drafts, producing research etc and would expect you to adapt your methods to us (main tools are - diigo.com and huddle.net - as I say, very simple but provides for total transparency on all sides).
Whilst we\'ll retain full rights to the work - for the most part we\'re happy to attribute all articles to you, and/or use a pen name, dependant on your preference - so there may be some self promotion opportunities in this for you too!
If you are going to outsource to your own team, let us know - its not a show stopper (as long as all your writers are UK based and you can guarantee quality!) but it will be if we aren\'t aware and find out!
If this is of interest then get in touch - Ideally we\'d like to see a sample of your best work, and per job pricing estimates for each of the above, if you need any further info then please get in touch!
