Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
i3Development conducted a research study on the self-efficacy (or perceived capacity) of students and staff at a Second Chance Education program in India run by the NGO, Pratham. Just FYI, the program supports out of school girls and women ages 16-40 to go back to school to earn their Grade 10 certification (which is the minimum education requirement in India).
Five surveys for 5 of the respondent categories (students, faculty, tutors, State Resource Group members, and Centres-in-Charge) were disseminated. The data collected for each includes demographics and data related to capacity scale, impact scale, control scale, time on task, self-rating on effectiveness, satisfaction with program (and in the case of the 4 staff categories - job satisfaction).
There are 3 research questions to be answered:
(1) To what extent does the capacity of Pratham’s State Resource Group predict the capacity of Center-level faculty in the delivery of the Second Chance program?
(2) To what extent does the capacity of Pratham’s Center-level faculty predict the capacity of Center-level tutors in the delivery of the Second Chance program?
(3) To what extent does self-efficacy (capacity) of Pratham staff predict capacity and learning outcomes of students?
At the moment, all responses are in separate datasets. It would be very helpful to me if a statistics expert could:
(1) emerge the data sets as necessary to run the analysis for answering the research questions;
(2) conduct the data analysis to answer the 3 research questions; and
(3) provide a report with comprehensive explanation of findings (including data tables and details related to significance).
If interested, please respond for more information.
