I need someone with UK employment law experience and ACAS guidelines to help me write a letter of grievance to my former employer. . For the past 7 years I have worked as a kennel hand in a dog rescue charity. In January the staff were told that half the charity was closing and redundancies were going to be made. Last day of employment 31st March 2020. As the closure of this half of the charity would mean that I would be working with the manager, of which I have serious concerns of animal welfare, I felt I had no choice but to ask for voluntary redundancy. This was accepted, along with 3 work colleagues who were also made redundant. I have since been told that by accepting my redundancy the charity has left themselves short staffed so I am now concerned for the care of the dogs. They have also underpaid my statutory redundancy amount and failed to give me the correct paid notice. My work colleagues have fair grounds for unfair dismissal and are pursuing this through ACAS. Our collective goal as past and present staff is to force the manager to satnd down and to hold the manager and trustees accountable for improper care of animals, serious mismanagement and mishandling of charity funds, of which we will be compiling a separate letter to the charity commission when this is all over.
My goals and objectives of the letter are;
* Document the lack of ACAS guidelines followed to prepare for grounds of unfair dismissal.
* Document the failure of the trustees to act to protect the welfare of our dogs
* To receive an explanation as to why myself and my work colleagues were treated so poorly
* To receive an explanation as to why I was underpaid the statutory redundancy and why they have not followed government guidelines
