Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Our company develops online learning materials for English as a Foreign Language. We are in need of writers who can produce relatively short, simple grammar exercises. Two grammar exercises are defined as an item. Each item is likely to take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to produce. Please see the attached example.
We will pay a fixed fee PER ITEM. However because of the way PPH works, I have to ask for a per-hour fee. Your hourly fee in this case needs to be what you want to charge PER ITEM completed. Since each item may take a little more than an hour, factor this into your calculation.
We are likely to hire several writers for this project and will be hiring over the next 4 weeks. I expect the project to last until the end of the year so you will get regular work.
The process will be as follows:
1. You will receive a specification for 2 exercises. The specification will dictate the type of exercise (i.e. multiple choice or gap fill), as well as the grammar item.
2. We will provide you with exercise templates. The template will define all of the necessary fields: rubric, questions, feedback, etc. We will provide training on using the templates.
3. You will write the exercise into the template.
4. You need to check everything carefully and submit.
The exercises must be written competently, but the exercises are short and the scope will be well defined. These should not difficult for a practiced writer.
As long as the item is accepted, we will give you additional items. If your item is rejected you'll be given the opportunity to re-submit.
To do this job you must:
1. Be a native English speaker
2. Be comfortable using a computer and have an up-to-date computer (Windows 7, Mac, something like that)
3. Have EFL writing experience. Be comfortable writing at the appropriate level of English.
4. Be very careful with your work.
