Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1-2 days each quarter
We are looking for a person who can proof read rather technical articles related to letting and the housing law It is a small but re-occurring job each quarter, i.e. four times a year within a time span of a week.
All articles are in MS Word and will be sent electronically. We would not want the proof reader to change text but instead suggest edits using Track Changes.
The main areas we need covered are:
• Check for errors in spelling, grammar and correct use of comma in text.
• Ensure consistency of style (e.g. hyphenation, use of capital letters, dates, numbers etc.)
• Suggest edits to improve readability but not extensively.
It will vary from one quarter to the next how many pages need proof reading. On average, it would be around 15 – 20 pages each time / approximately 10,000 to 12,500 words.
Ideal for a 'native' English speaker due to the technicality of the articles.
Rate charged can be per hour or per page.
