Description
Experience Level: Expert
Industry: Education
Topic: Educational material
Tone: Playful
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: OoberKidsRepublic (www.ooberkidsrepublic.com) is the on line homework help website for children aged 7-11. We are looking for an accurate and experienced sub-editor, able and willing to go over with the proverbial fine-tooth comb our English, Maths and Science content (both sample and premium). You can see the sample material in the English, Maths and Science sections of the website.
You are instinctively alert to grammatical horrors such as misused its/it's, your/you're, fewer/less, but you are also witty, playful and able to edit material designed to appeal to kids.
While every effort will be made to provide feedback and support, you need to be a self-starter; able and willing to work with minimal guidance. Experience of educational projects is a plus, but not a 'must'.
The successful candidate will have to access confidential parts of our website and therefore will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Mother tongue sub-editors only, please and, while we usually like to give new comers a chance, this job is exclusively for experienced candidates. More and detailed information will be given to short-listers.
Many thanks in advance for your interest.
