Description
Experience Level: Expert
Kind of writing: Other
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: • I have a detailed job regrade proposal which gives context and detailed examples of outstanding performance in current role. The job is ‘Project Officer’ type role in the public sector.
• The job regrade proposal, however, is written as a bid for a regrade (i.e. to be put on a senior salary band). The role expanded and more senior responsibility was taken on under the current line manager.
• The current line-manager is now leaving, and thus the some of the more complex workload will, to some extent, be reduced. Thus making the initial proposal weak.
• The letter should ask management to take into account the success which has been achieved in the role and ask for a raise which is within the current salary band to reflect the achievements made.
• Management expected for the position to be regraded, this is why I didn’t consider this route before. But with the shock departure of current line-manager, I need to convince Staff Reward Panel to consider the late application for salary increase within the same grade instead of complete regrade to higher salary band.
• The role operated on 150% and will return to 100%.
• The letter should appendix and refer to the original proposal and flesh out a convincing bid to be considered for an increase in salary instead of a job regrade as the line-manager is leaving.
I will need this to be completed for Sunday 26th November 2018 by 5pm at the latest.
