Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi there
I need help with a rewrite of my CV. I am interested in getting the content right. Not concerned about the layout or design.
I am looking for:
1. A journalist to help with this (if possible one that has experience in a newsroom)
2. Shorten the CV to 2 pages
3. Needs to show more direction and try to establish common theme throughout as I've hopped industries and roles/titles a little.
Quick snapshot about me:
My top five talents on Clifton test are, Empathy, Communications, Developer, Arranger, Achiever. I mean how do you bring those out in a CV?
10 years in Editorial - national newsroom - assistant editor, researcher
1 year - Humanitarian - in the field in Africa
Past 4 years - Digital Transformation - various roles, production manager, content manager, editor, communications. All Programmes with a start and finish, all implementing new tech and new digital products and new digital ways of working, including some engagement and change management, upskilling staff. Currently Acting Head of Content, & Editor on digital programme.
However, worked in various industries on these programmes, publishing, insurance, gas & energy - I've been out of publishing for four years, and industries have jumped around a bit.
I am wanting to get back in news at a national level, and even though I am not looking to go back into print arena, I would like a journalist to help with the CV. Someone who understands news values, the dynamic and fast paced environment of a newsroom, and with a real journalistic skillset.
I really want to bring out my key strengths, my tenacity, passion, adventure, hardworking nature, and I am finding this hard to do on two pieces of A4 paper.
If you feel you're the right person to be able to help me with this project, then please shout.
I need to nail the profile - ex journo, loves the news, dynamic fastpaced ninja, humanitarian, full of courage, influencer, plate spinner, great with relationships, empath, been out for four years, wants to get back in and can bring a wealth of Digital and content and production skills back into it.
Thanks so much, Charlotte
