Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Kind of writing: Biography
Num. of words: 3000
Topic: 'Fake' Fashion Magazine articles.
Tone: Humorous
Extensive research needed: yes
Extra notes: I am a photographer putting together a sales pitch for my services to editors in the fashion business.
Rather than bombard them with a box of portfolio prints, I want to send them a small faux magazine to show off my work in the format that they are familiar with - covers, articles, features.
As part of this I need to put together a bit of a biography, my thoughts on photography, processes and inspirations along with some 'critique' sections for individual images (or sequences of). All of this as a series of magazine articles that my own work will illustrate.
The 'voice' of the text should be a light magazine style, free to be a little humorous.
The perfect candidate is someone who has previously written for this sector, failing that reading conde nast titles on a regular basis may be a close second I guess!
