Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am looking for someone to undertake a project promoting my short-story book through the social media, book review sites, book reviewers in the press and through customer reviews on Amazon. I can supply the book by post or text by email. It is already available in Amazon in book form.
This debut collection explores the underside of human experience - moments in the lives of those who bravely deal with all life throws at them. The stories are set in many locations around the world, reflecting perhaps the author's nomadic and eventful existence.
I have been a writer of non-fiction all my life and I am no stranger to publication in both books and the international press. I was also formerly married to a novelist, half wrote two published novels and have just completed my own first novel set in the Ukrainian conflict.
What I am seeking is someone who is experienced in publishing, has access to a large online audience (perhaps through a personal blog), loves reading and has a good personal written style. Please respond by outlining how you would undertake such a project. Serious bids only please.
Here is a draft promotional teaser (minus identification of book and author)
" [Name of author]'s debut collection of short stories "[Name of book]" is filled with surprising tales that take you into the hidden lives few of us ever get the chance to see, or get to know. The private worlds where lost innocence, naivety, betrayal, isolation, paranoia and, above all, a heroic despair drive the struggle for existence - whether it be in Accra, Hong Kong, Baltimore or Lesotho.
Here the raw experience of being human unfolds, sometimes shocks and brings us to a very different sense of reality. The small child in "God Save America" that has internalised his own tragic American dream; Michael in "Faces" who can never go past his own front door for fear of reactions to his black skin and the "big fella" security guard who finds that at last he can be like the "paratrooper, armed and ready for anything" as he lashes out fatally at innocent intruders.
Now - a road you have not travelled, a strangely familiar World you must never miss."
Thank you. I look forward to your Bids/Gigs
