SEO Brand represents several 100 clients online. Each client requires us to write an average of 5 to 20 pages of high quality text content for their websites every month. They also require us to write regular social media posts and articles to post on external websites for marketing, PR and brand exposure. That’s where you come in.
This brief will act as your first assignment and a test for any potential future work. If we decide to retain you, we will be assigning you briefs like this regularly. Please bear in mind that we hold our copy writers to a high standard. The following things are very important to us. Please ensure to follow these basic rules when dealing with us:
Extra notes:
1. Always deliver your work on time. If you need more time, please inform us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. DO NOT tell us that you will be late AFTER the deadline is here or after the deadline. We are understanding of delays ONLY as long as we have the time to prepare for them.
2. DO NOT accept any projects that you are not comfortable working on. Let us know if there are any projects that would prefer to pass on.
3. TRIPLE CHECK your work please before sending it to us for review. We would prefer to do as little editing as possible. Writers that need little to no editing will be retained much more often and at a higher pay out than writers whose work needs to be triple checked by our internal editors.
4. All articles or pages of content must have a proper structure to them:
a. Engaging Title
b. 200 character meta description
c. Introductory paragraph to explain what the article will talk about. “1. Tell them what you are going talk to them about.”
d. Sub Headers for each section of the article or page.
e. 750 words of main content. “2. Tell them what you want to tell them in detail.”
f. Bullet points or numbers where it makes sense.
g. Break up the content by inserting two or three, “one liner” quotes like this:
i. “Content is King” By Bill Gates
ii. “Quality content is what separates a world class website from all of it's competition.” By David Deutsch
h. (OPTIONAL) Product images When dealing with an article that discusses specific products or services, please include product or service images from the client’s website or bigstockphoto.com. Include ALT tags for each image. 1 or 2 sentences is enough for ALT tags. You may include them in {}.
i. Calls to action. Please include a call to action in the main part of the article AND in the concluding paragraph.
j. Conclusion: Write an engaging and powerful conclusion to your article. 1 paragraph. Short, sweet and to the point. “3. Tell them what you told them.”
i. Please include a call to action if possible.
ii. Please include the company phone number if applicable.
k. Images: Recommend 2 to 5 images from bigstockphoto.com OR the client’s website directly. (Note: We can buy them with SEO Brand’s account. So please add a link to the images at the top of the page underneath the meta description so we can purchase the images.)
l. (OPTIONAL) Phone number For clients who rely on phone calls to do business, please consider including the phone number in the article along with a call to action.
m. (OPTIONAL) Graphs, charts, grids and/or colorful tables are very much a bonus if you can create or suggest one for an article you are working on. You can easily make them in excel and email them to us.
