Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: 700-1000
Blog/website url: www.pilatestreemagazine.com
Information for the blog/website: We are an online Pilates Magazine
Industry: Sports and Fitness
Topic: Pilates
Tone: Informal/Casual
Outline & Structure: An example of a previous interview is here; so a similar structure.
http://www.pilatestreemagazine.com/category/interviews/
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: I would like this to be a fully completed magazine article that I can just publish. I don't want to have to make changes and It should not be written verbatim but in a easy to read way.
I interviewed Ken Endleman, who is the CEO of a company called Balanced Body. They design and sell specialist Pilates equipment in the Pilates world and are also educators. Ken was a designer and craftsman of custom furniture. A Pilates teacher came into his store one day and asked him to design a piece called a Reformer. Up until that time he had not been familiar with Pilates. And a new career began. Here is a link to bit about the man.

There was a big trademark lawsuit where someone tried to stop the name ‘Pilates” being used as a generic term for this type of exercise. Ken managed to win the lawsuit and as a result we can be called Pilates teachers. We can’t really not mention the lawsuit although I wouldn’t want it to take up too much space.
Here’s a link to that - http://www.pilates.com/resources/company/copyright_2011.pdf
