Description
The existing project
50 by Richmond Barbers is a new charitable organisation committed to improving the lives of renal patients throughout the United Kingdom.
Each 50 collection comprises of a t-shirt, snapback cap and selection of men’s grooming products. Working with a single artist per collection, each item is customised with a print taken from a unique commission from the artist.
50 believes charitable work should always have real results. Money raised will never go in to a black box, but instead be used to fund the provision of medical equipment, renovation of treatment facilities and the provision of necessary support to patients and families.
50% to Charity / 50% back into Products
Founded by George Angelis, a Richmond barber diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome at age 2 and undergoing a Bilateral Nephrectomy at 14, 50 works with local and international artists to produce collections of limited edition clothing and grooming products. Through the sale of these collections, it is George’s hope and dream that 50 will fund direct improvements to treatment centres and raise awareness of kidney disease.
The next phase now
To create a magazine to raise more awareness.
Target audience for now - males, 20s - 30s
The idea of the magazine - 80% based on the kidney world but formatted like a lads magazine, which will also feature sports, cars, music, fashion ect.
An idea of some of the kidney related subjects -
.Kidney life all aspects
.Keeping hydrated
.What the kidneys do
.Why we need them
.How to look after them
.Save a vein
.Different illnesses
.Donating a kidney (pros & cons)
.Different diet plans
.Save your vein
.Renal biopsy
.Kidney transplant
.Treatments for kidney disease
.Dialysis
.Mental affects
(The list is pretty endless)
Also to be included articles by renal Drs, surgeons, dieticians ect
If we manage to get this together it will be available on the future www.50byrb.co.uk site also in hard copy. To do the hard copy we will try to sell advertising space + get sponsors to sponsor the work and materials so we can afford to give the magazine out for free (every 3 months), to all the hospitals + as many other outlets as possible.

What exactly are you looking for? Someone to put together the whole magazine or a team of professionals each responsible for different sections? Please be more specific. We need actual roles, jobs, tasks and an idea of your budget.
-
Hello George - very much the same questions as already asked. The job spec isn't clear as to what you expect for the price, how many words, deadlines etc - please clarify.
-
Please provide budget information. You can't seriously expect quotes if you don't offer the relevant information, like word quote requirement and available budget per issue.
-
Hi, I wondered if you would kindly clarify a few things. Are you after a fixed price proposal for each issue of the magazine? How many editorial vs advertising pages would each issue be? Would you accept a proposal that covers more than one of the roles listed? Thank you.

Even using the minimum time and resources of your suggested 12-strong editorial and production team will require considerable cost. What are you expecting for a £55 fixed price task.
