Description
Experience Level: Entry
Read this properly. If you apply and it’s clear you haven’t read the brief properly I will not work with you.
The sectors...
1. Hair, beauty and aesthetics
2. Events, hotels, and hospitality
3. Food and drink
Looking for UK native writers to work on a variety of sector-specific short blogs.
Applicants must have blogging or article writing experience and MUST have proven experience in one of the above sectors. A good eye for an interesting angle is vital, as I have some briefs to commission, but I also want pitches from you. So if you’ve got a big bag of great ideas it’s going to work in your favour.
IF YOUR COPY IS PLAGIARISED OR COPIED FROM OTHER SOURCES YOU WILL BE INSTANTLY REMOVED FROM THE BOOKS FOREVER. THERE ARE NO SECOND CHANCES WITH THIS.
Blog formats are simple and should be between 400-800 words. Attention to good spelling, accurate grammar and an attractive turn of phrase will ensure repeat commissions. Stand out from the crowd with your accurate, unique and striking copy and I’ll be able to offer you plenty of work.
If you’re interested in this I provide a simple template format but we need to see some examples of your work so please include between three and five links (not more) in your proposal.
I will work with you on blog content subjects. The most popular ideas are generic evergreen content that sits within the related sector, but news-related and time-sensitive articles may also be commissioned. Blogs should carry an element of authority, and be the voice of experience. So when, say, there is a blog relating to a hair or beauty piece, it needs to sound informed enough that a hairdresser or practitioner could have written it themselves.
It’s a flat £20 for these blogs but the pieces are short, although they must be interesting, topical and accurate. They should be fact checked, for example, so that any claims are correct and substantiated. If you quote stats or studies we need citation, and so on. Wild unsupported claims will see your work returned for revision for example.
You can hit me with as many ideas as you like. We will be commissioning a high number of blogs.
If your proposal is successful you will be asked to write one blog to start with for which you will be paid. Following that we may invite you to work with us on further contracted works.
