Romanian-English, English-Romanian Translation

I manage online communities for market research purposes. Our community members take part in a variety of activities and from time to time they will contact us with any questions they may have.

For this project, we are running a community in Romanian. All of the activities for the community have already been translated, so the requirement is to be able to read any questions from members, advise us of the contents and translate our response to them from English to Romanian.

It's difficult to estimate the amount of time required as the community doesn't launch until the beginning of November and we don't know what sort of questions we are going to receive. Based on other communities of this size, I would expect the time required to be 1-5 hours per week. The community is set to last for a minimum of 12 weeks.

In addition to these 'simple' member messages, there will be some other tasks which will require translation. One such task is for members to be able to upload a video. These videos would need to be vetted against certain criteria (profanity, negative comments about the community sponsor etc.) before being made available to other community members.

There will also be a requirement for ad hoc translations.

For this job I need someone who is Romanian, has very good written skills and has good written and spoken English. You do not need to be based in Romania but a working knowledge of current happenings in Romania is important.

The job would suit an independent translator who manages their own time and is prepared to be flexible. We will need to agree a turn round time for translations, same day would be good but 24 hours would be the maximum.
