Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hello and welcome.
I run a UK-based transcription company and we have some extra work this month, and you are welcome to join our team of noble typists! The work is expected to start as soon as 15 October, with new files available each day until the end of the month.
To apply, you will bid on one 120-minute digital audio file, a consumer interview with 2 speakers. Deadline is 24 hours after receipt of audio, starting as soon as 15 October 2015 at 1pm GMT. The interviews will be conducted in English; one speaker will have a German accent, the other American.
Successful applicants will need to have experience in digital audio transcription, can type a minimum of 65 wpm, have their own high speed internet connection, and their own transcription software and foot pedal. The successful candidate/s must be able to pay close attention to detail, and communication is a must (e.g. confirm successful download of digital file, ask for clarification if required), and be able to meet the deadline. If the work standard is good, further work may follow.
Successful applicants will be given a link to download the digital file. You will be required to send across the first 5 minutes of transcription so that quality and accuracy can be checked before proceeding.
Pay is £0.45 per audio minute, with a £0.10/audio minute bonus if work is done well (97% accuracy) and on time. Price has been listed as a flat rate of 120 minutes x £0.50/audio minute = £60 to keep things simple, and will be fine-tuned once the work has been invoiced.
Candidates must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement, and submit the completed file on the provided MS Word template within 24 hours of receiving link to audio.
Please also note that deposit amount must be less than the total amount payable for the job (e.g. less than £20).
Thanks for looking, and good luck with your bid!
