Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am looking for a professional and experienced legal transcriber to produce a high-quality verbatim transcript of a digital audio recording for use in a Superior Court of Justice proceeding (Ontario).
Requirements:
Format: Verbatim transcription (must include every word, stutter, hesitation, and sound).
Timecoding: Please insert timestamps at least every 30 seconds or at each change of speaker.
Identification: Please clearly identify speakers (e.g., Speaker 1: [Name/Role], Speaker 2: [Name/Role]).
Handling Unclear Audio: There is a section of approximately 8 minutes where the audio quality is poor. Please do not guess what is being said. Instead, mark these sections clearly with [INAUDIBLE - timecode start to end].
Professionalism: The final document must be formatted professionally, suitable for filing as an exhibit in a court motion record.
Details:
Length: 00:47:25
Language: English (please note if there are any specific accents or dialects to be aware of).
Deadline: URGENT
Confidentiality: This document is for legal proceedings. I require the successful candidate to handle the file with strict confidentiality.
Please include in your proposal:
Your relevant experience with legal transcription.
Confirmation that you can provide a verbatim transcript.
An estimated turnaround time.
Note regarding files: Please note that the audio recording and the draft manuscript will be provided to the selected freelancer immediately upon the awarding of the contract. I require the successful candidate to sign a confidentiality agreement before accessing these files.
